Internet Speed Way Below What It Should Be

So recently my internet has been upgraded to 100mbps (about 12.5 megabyte per second download speed). On all of my wireless devices (laptop, phone, etc) files download at the 12 megabytes per second speed just fine. Although, my main desktop pc only downloads at about 1.5 megabytes per second. It is directly connected with ethernet from the motherboard to the router. So I'm wondering what it is that is bottlenecking my internet speed, could it be that the motherboard's ethernet port is too slow? Do I need a network card? Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

I have ran a speedtest and it says that my download speed is 100 mpbs and upload is 5mbps. Ive downloaded file from origin, steam, and http://www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html. Ive downloaded file from these websites on my wireless devices aswell and its the same case. Laptop downloads faster and the desktop extremely slow.
