I am looking for a very good router for high traffic, gaming, streaming, in home streaming, etc. Example i tend to hit my terabyte limit with comcast. But i need a router with built in SNMP support for networx to be able to monitor. As i have found comcast to being over exaggerating my data. Please provide any help or a list of routers that can accomplish this.
Also most everything is wired in my house with switches, except phones tablets and the like. I also need a router like my current old asus that allows around 28 port rules. I belive my current limit is 30 or so.

SNMP is considered a enterprise feature and you will not find it on consumer routers. Even ones that have SNMP do not really have much in the way of bandwidth monitoring. All SNMP does is display counters already in the router. Since there is not even a display or command to get the bandwidth usage it is unlikely the routers even have a field snmp can display.

Your best bet is going to be third party firmware but I have seen very little in the way of documentation of mibs for it. To use SNMP you likely are going to have to dig around to see if the fields even exist.

You may have to use some other tool to get what you want. The only one that i know that has very good bandwidth limitation is gargoyle but I do not stay on top of...
