Comments on my first ever budget build

I've been around the forums asking for help on the different parts and this what I finally came up with for my first budget build. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated. I already ordered most of the parts so I don't plan on changing things around too much, but I would like to know what people think. I originally was gonna go for an GTX 1060 3gb but I changed my mind at the last moment when I saw I could get a discount for the MSI RX 480 4GB in newegg that put it on $184, which I thought was a great deal. Not sure if it was the right decision since I play on 1080p and not even that many demanding games but I hope there's not a big difference in performance over time.

I do have one final question. Since I'm not planning on overclocking or doing anything crazy, I didn't buy extra cooler or anything, but I've heard that the RX480 runs a little hot. Is it necessary to buy extra cooling for this build? I don't plan on forcing the GPU too much either, maybe except in a couple of years when games get more demanding, but for now I'm happy with reaching 1080p-60hz.

Then the only thing I would say is get yourself an SSD. This is a non-negotiable anymore. The blue is going to work well but boot is going to suck and running games as well as OS is...

My comment is that you can save a lot more money than what you are showing.

It looks like you really love MSI and I get that. Though most cards from any major brand are going to be awesome. The only difference is in the customer service. While MSI is ok, they're no better than the others.

This is the same card but from ASUS for much less money.

Here is the 8GB version MSI but a little less costly

check this website for the parts to see if you can save yourself. These right here are saving you a chunk of money. You can use that to get more ram or another drive, or a bigger SSD

OK I KEEP EDITING THIS
But you can do better than that Seasonic power supply. Even the entry level EVGAs I believe do a better job with a great company that has great customer service.

Your specs are AWESOME, but you can do better on cost and the power supply.

EDIT LAST EDIT: Get an SSD, you will thank me even if you get a budget SSD. Find a very reasonable priced 250gb and you will be sooo grateful for it.

Well some of the prices don't really reflect what I paid. I got the MSI card for $180 using the same discount as the one you put for the ASUS (only that the MSI was the cheapest one when I looked a couple of days ago).

For the motherboard I was going to go with the cheapest option (I think Gigabyte's) but I actually got the MSI motherboard before the GPU because it had some good reviews and I made the leap of faith of buying from Jet.com which costs me $55. (Same thing with the processor which I got for $170) All in all I managed to keep it in $600

Also Updated: Yes I thought about the SSD but before I thought it would increase the prices too much. But I can change that maybe by getting a smaller hard drive and a small SSD to complement, since I don't need that much space anyway.

16GB of RAM isn't that further away:

Then the only thing I would say is get yourself an SSD. This is a non-negotiable anymore. The blue is going to work well but boot is going to suck and running games as well as OS is going to have it chugging. Run your os on the SSD and a few games on there and then the rest on the blue.

Yeah when I started researching for parts I didn't think it was big deal for my to get an SSD, that it was more like an extra feature, but now I'm really considering it. I guess I could wait for Black Friday on good sales, for now I was in a kind of hurry to be up and gaming :) I've playing with integrated graphics and some consoles all my life so this is very exciting

Heavyartillary9 if you get one you will look back on this post and laugh heartily at yourself.

Dani gar. You will not regret it. It speeds literally everything up. You open a program and there is no wait. Games will load instantly if they are on the ssd. So I only put games with heavy load times on there. Most games even run exponentially faster when you aren't running them on the same drive as your os. Utilization goes to a fraction so it's much better on the drives as well.

DO NOT BUY ONE haha because as soon as you do it becomes mandatory. It's a vicious cycle!
