I recently bought a gtx 780 ti as an upgrade to my gtx 660 ti and once i plugged the card in and turned on the PC and got no display. and had the cords plugged in and the power LEDs turned green, the fans spin when turned on etc.. but no display. i switched the display cord to integrated and got a display. My PCI-E slot is x16 1, so originally I was thinking its my PCI-E slot, yet I looked at my gtx 660 ti box and realized that it too is a PCI-E 3 too... Now im thinking its my PSU (TR2 Thermaltake 700W, which the power cords I've tried are; 2 6 pins with the 2 extra pins that usually dangle next to them and a 2 6 pins to 8 pin cord with one 6 pin connector with the 2 extra pins and still nothing... please help, thanks in advance

Things Ive tried:
Update bios
Change video mode to PEG and PCI in bios
changing power cord combination
re-seating the card
plugging old card in to test the PCI-E slot (it worked with the 660 ti)

Nope. nothing, it won't open because it can't detect a nvidia card
