I was very interested in buying the MSI GTX GeForce 1060 for $245 but it was a little much and I am trying to find a less expensive alternative, I have the FX6300 as my cpu, any suggestions? price range is about $150-$225 looking to play games like dota 2, csgo, hearthstone and a few other fps games at 60 fps

Solution
Wait a few more days and get yourself a GTX 1050 or get now a RX 470, both will fit your needs!

The 1050Ti is around $120 ~ $150

The RX 470 is around $170 ~ $190, it's more expensive but it's also more powerful than the 1050
If you have the money for it, there's no mistake in going AMD

Solution
Benchmarks I've seen (Tom's here, GamersNexus) essentially pitch the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 ti between the RX 460 and 470. Given the current prices, the RX 470 actually looks like the more promising choice given the shown performance difference. At least the models I'm looking at only differ by £10.
