Hey guys, Im planning to buy a new Pc or better say some components and im on a pretty tight budget(around 380-420 euros here in europe). I want to buy these components:

Intel core i5-6400
Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti Gaming G1
Vengance 8GB Ram (2133 2x4 Sticks)
Asus H110M-K Mobo (Its already here so I can't change it)

But my Monitor only has a resolution of 1366x786 what is basically 720p. Im a bit worried if the Graphic card will be bit overkill but I want to be a bit Futureproof if I am upgrading to a 1080p Monitor next Year. So will I be able to run all new Games at Ultra settings with 60 fps or is this way to overkill?

Solution
The gtx 1050ti performs kind of the same as the gtx 960, which means it's more than fine at 720p, and would make a nice pairing with the i5 6400. Enjoy :) The card will also do very well at 1080p, you should be aiming at medium-high settings then.

I would suggest a good i3 with the 1050ti.The card by itself isnt overkill and basicaly represents the best option for balanced 1080p. For example, the 1060 is as poweful as a 980, a card thats still suited for 2k gaming so the 1050 is perfect for 1080p.

I suggest an i3 because an i5 isnt really necessary at that resolution. Plus an i3 still has 4 threads and a much higher clock than an entry level i5.(4ghz about). Its a good way to save money for your monitor.

My second option would be A gtx 1060 3gb + i3-6100 but the problem is that I think that the 1060 will be way to muuch for my Monitor. Looking forward to the 1050 Ti + the 6400 tho :)
