I have this motherboard: asrock h81m-dgs

And want to buy this RAM stick: CRUCIAL CT102464BD160B

Are they compatible?

Yes the Crucial RAM you listed is compatible with the ASROCK motherboard you listed as well. For best memory compatibility and performance, I would recommend the previous suggestion as well and get a dual channel kit. Should work like a charm.

would this kit be ok? Crucial CT2KIT51264BA160B 8GB (2 x 4 GB) 240-pin DDR3 1600mhz non-ECC

as there is only one 8GB kit recommended on the site i searched for some and found this (also looking for something in my price range)
