If I buy Black ops 3 Cd copy at Walmart, will i be able to play zombies offline ? Because i know on steam you will need online to play zombies. So after downloaded the CD to my computer will I need internet to play zombies?

Solution
don't really know ? I'm sure it will cause they check all that [mandatory internet connection mandatory client snooping all you do YOU AGREE TO THERE TERMS FULLY ] I know better then to get in to any of that with them never have and never will. playing there games just not worth it

you live you learn you buy and try and hope it don't make you cry .. I use software I hold not I got to depend and rely fully on a 3ed party for any part of it ..

I don't need there games that bad in any way to subject myself to that crap - I got plenty of real pc games fully on the disk with out any need for that mandatory client , internet connection required , rental games .

you can thank the x-box babysitter...

I'm not 100% sure but it might install it to steam making the disk pointless after it's been activated

What I mean is that the CD copy might activate it on Steam making it a game in your Steam library and then that's how you play it, but i'm not entirely sure.

todays ''retail disks'' are nothing but a dvd with a steam client on them you stilo got to accept there malware and terms then sit for hrs to down load the game from them [what a joke]

'' To make use of the Content and Services, you must have a Steam Account and you may be required to be running the Steam client and maintaining a connection to the Internet.

For reasons that include, without limitation, system security, stability, and multiplayer interoperability, Steam may need to automatically update, pre-load, create new versions of or otherwise enhance the Content and Services and accordingly, the system requirements to use the Content and Services may change over time. You consent to such automatic updating.''

best part

''For reasons that include, without limitation, system security''' ya, ok I agree [not ]

with out steam origin or uplay clients you got nothing cant load nothing play nothing just a bunch of nothing you agree to there terms first and foremost then they may allow you to use ''there'' game

''Can i download black ops without steam ''

from a pirated /crack site at your own risk I guess

I would put zero stars if i could. the game itself is probably good but i cant play the stupid thing because of the hoops you have to jump through. first off, the dvd's (yes plural) have to be installed. THERES 6 OF THEM!!! (SAME WITH GTA 5). I mean what happened to one disk and being able to play a game directly after putting the one cd into the console or pc; without the internet connection if you just wanted to play the story mode. so I finally got steam software and the cds installed after 45 min or so. i clicked on the game to play thinking the installation was completely over then steam prompted me that there was yet ANOTHER UPDATE TO THE GAME AND SINCE MY INTERNET IS NOT THE FASTEST, IT SAYS IT WILL TAKE SIX PLUS HOURS TO INSTALL!!!!!!. Im DONE WITH THIS GAME ALREADY. and why do i need an access code to play the game? I should be able to play and share this game as i please when ever and on whatever computer i want without buying another code, like any older game . i will never buy another steam game for as long as i live. from now on, i will buy games from 2006 and before. Steam, EA/origin and Rockstar will never get another sale from me again and i will make sure to mention my experience to anyone who even considers getting these newer games associated with the companies mentioned above.

ps this update has jumped to 11 hours to download just after writing this review.

Installation very complicated
Even though i got the CDs it still downloaded like 20 to 30 More GB from the internet costing huge money
In the end the campaign never works ... just hangs in trying to start''

ya buddy he learned the hard way all them dvd's and still cant run and play the game with out steam butting in [LOL] like PT barnum said '' theres a sucker being born every second ''

bottom line is you accept there clients BEFORE you get anything else ''I AGREE''

thing is if they can give you 6 dvd's what not just give you 10 dvd's with out steam and all that malware and have the full game as like it use to be

remember when there was no steam crap ??? you got the full game on disk , no internet required no steam no mandatory updating or content no nothing but you your computer and the game . that's it all was fine and dandy .

you can tell where the real pc gamer generation ended , and the x-box baby sitter generation began

To make use of the Content and Services, you must have a Steam Account and you may be required to be running the Steam client and maintaining a connection to the Internet.

un like cod world at war ? it was all on the disk no steam no internet required just stick the dvd in and load up and then play the full game

then go on line and go to like file planet and down load all the maps you want free to use and play no 3ed party interfrarance

http://www.fileplanet.com/110214/0/section/Nazi-Zombie-Maps/

you know the way REAL pc gaming use to be not have to kiss a 3ed party and there malware mandatory clients BUTT

sad thing is that's all now a thing of the past but you could hunt down a remaining RETAIL copy if your lucky [fat chance] looks like maybe some leftovers or used at ebay ?

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Call-of-Duty-World-at-War-PC-DVD-PC-Games/10333406

I understand its not black ops 3 but if you did find the retail dvd load it up and grab all the map packs for your own personal useage and enjoyment

not something like steam collecting data forced updates making any changes to your computer at any given time as THEY see needed to fit there needs

and thing you loose your steam account or get banned or what ever they cant take that game away from you or affect it in any way its fully yours to use as you want to when you want to only thing required is a compatible computer to load and play it on not run kiss steams butt

good luck

If I buy the cd copy of the game and download all the software into my computer which will be downloaded into steam can I go back and return the game and still have the game into my steam account

http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/

The updated policy states that "Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any reason, if the request is made within fourteen days of purchase, and the title has been played for less than two hours... You will be issued a full refund of your purchase within a week of approval.Jun 2, 2015

I like the user comments

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/steam-now-lets-you-return-games-and-dlc/1100-6427765/?comment_page=1#comments-block-32104855

in the end that's the risk you take between you and them and that ball is all ways in there court as in they got your money and you got nothing when all said and done [well maybe a lighter billfold ]

http://www.gamespot.com/forums/pc-mac-linux-society-1000004/possible-to-get-a-steam-refund-for-a-game-that-doe-27511653/

well best buy is funny may better ask them first like Wal-Mart had to stop taking returns an that a long time ago form too many folks ''pulling a fast one ''

you may exchange it for another exact game but not money back --

'' Opened computer software, movies, music or video games can only be exchanged for an identical item.''

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/help-topics/return-exchange-policy/pcmcat260800050014.c?id=pcmcat260800050014

like I said in the end they got your money and you got nothing

Did it come with a Steam activation key? If it did and you used it don't return it because it can only be used once.

don't really know ? I'm sure it will cause they check all that [mandatory internet connection mandatory client snooping all you do YOU AGREE TO THERE TERMS FULLY ] I know better then to get in to any of that with them never have and never will. playing there games just not worth it

uplay, steam, or origin involved and mandatory or any internet connection for any reason to load or play = no sale , keep it and I'll keep my money

anyone who can read and comprehend there Eula's and terms and select I AGREE got to be nutts [opinion] then you got nothing anyway unless they keep giving it to you cause you hold nothing and not a leg to stand on

do as you think is best for you plenty out there think things like steam is the greatest thing ever . all I see is a sham job

look at yourself here you all ready know something aint so right and worried and your not going to get what you pay for , right ???

good luck

No store will take back open media. Maybe if you make a big enough stink at the store but I doubt it. And the main reason, besides their contrived "for security" assertion, that you need to download a game from Steam even when you have a retail disc is because game sizes are so huge they couldn't fit on a standard DVD. And not enough people have blue ray drives in their PC. Heck, a lot of systems don't even have ANY optical drive. But there is a way to play Steam games offline if you care to google it. But opening up your disc, installing it through Steam and then returning the disc won't work. If it did don't you think everyone would do that?

''assertion, that you need to download a game from Steam even when you have a retail disc is because game sizes are so huge they couldn't fit on a standard DVD. And not enough people have blue ray drives in their PC''

how silly ...

look they all ready come with 6 dvd's in the box and still you got to got kiss steams a$$ ?? so that's not it at all they could put the full game ready to play on say 10 or 12 dvd;s right ???

remember when there were no or not poplure dvd's and games were on lots of cd's ??? its al,about they keep full control over you and there clients on your hard drive

like I showed above

To make use of the Content and Services, you must have a Steam Account and you may be required to be running the Steam client and maintaining a connection to the Internet.

''without limitation, system security'''

do you even grasp just that part ???

like I said they get your money and you got nothing unless they give it to you everyday and if needed they can zap you at there convenience so if or whan you need to reinstall and got to go back to them and they say NO way your done guess what you now hold ?? nothing a useless 6 dvd of there client that don't work load or play with out them

a fool and his money are soon parted

They used to come with many disks back in the day because everyone had terrible download speed. But now the majority of people are able to download games easily. The disks that activate games on Steam are nothing more than a glorified activation code that you can put on your shelf.

you don't get it do you ?? so you buy that game for 50 bucks but you don't get the full game then say 2 years or what ever they drop support of it now hows all that down load speed helping ?? your done and money gone and a worthless dvd's , well maybe for coaster use

get real

see my game are good for ever there all full game fully on the disk I don't need to down load anything unless ''I '' want to not forced to do so like you agree to mandatory updates and all that client crap ?? what if it affects your computer of what ever bugs it maybe as bad as bsod ?? well too bad so sad no game for you . your done

all you do is rent you have NOTHING unless they give it to you

what you say and ai guess enjoy is why they keep getting away with it they got your money aned you got nothing with out them - I can all ways tell a true old pc gamer from a x-box baby sitter gamer cause they aint got a clue
