Download speeds fluctuate suddenly in one computer

Hey, I've been having a problem recently with one of my computers getting extremely low speeds at some points (about 3 mbps or less), and other times, it goes back up to full speed (11-14 mbps). It's connected via wifi, and my other computer, connected to the modem through an ethernet cable doesn't get these problems. I know this sounds like a typical poor signal problem, but the weird thing is that it had been working perfectly fine for months, and a few days ago, this started happening for no apparent reason. My adapter is an 802.11g, and the signal is perfect according to task manager. I read somewhere that it may be caused by AMD quick stream, but I've checked and it doesn't seem to be installed on my computer.

I've checked and all seems to be up to date. Unfortunately, ethernet is not an option for this particular computer. Right now it's working fine, and it has been for about an hour, so maybe the problem just ended as mysteriously as it started?
