Guys I need some help when buying some parts and I am new to this.
So me and my sister are planning to have a editing/gaming rig that is under $500 and I want a legitimate intel processor for this. I browsed the web and still cant choose a processor.

If possible, can you guys also suggest an AMD processor that is on par with the intel cpu that you guys have chosen and also the MOBO and GPU. I have read some articles that amd is not good enough for editing and I dont want that I am the only one that will benefit. Thanks in advance!

You really aren't going to get very far with a $500 budget.
What kind of games are you looking to play?
What kind of editing are you going to be doing?

An i3 6100 with a GTX 1050TI would probably be near your budget.
Gotta keep in mind that many gamers spend more on their graphics cards than you have planned for your whole build.

So performance in games is going to vary dramatically depending on how much $$$ you can come up with.
