I have a ASRock H170A-X1/3.1 and using the ethanet port every was fine but now for some reason the network connection for it is disabled and every time i try to enable it my PC freezes. I have tried to reinstall the driver for it but it also froze during that process. I attempted to look through the BIOS but couldnt seem to find anything that could help. Any help would be much appreciated.

Some BIOS will give indication, some don't, BUT you should still be able to see it under Device Management, if you don't see, it has completely failed. If this is a PCI card (not built in), you may wanna do a complete shutdown, take out the board, put it back in blah-blah. If built-in, buy a PCI card to replace.

To discount software/driver issues, go back to a Restore Point (if you have kept up with backups).
