PC making random sounds?

Today when I started my PC, it make the usual sounds; loud fan and a loud harddrive. About 30 minutes in (not starting a PC, just letting it sit idle) it starts making this loud fast cricket sounds. Kinda strange, so I let it go for a little bit. It didn't stop, so I turned it off and on (idk why this would fix it, but sometimes miracles happen) and started back up in a minute. Opened the side of the case while it was on and it sounded like it was coming from my GPU/CPU area that also has a fan right next to them. This sound never happened before, so IDK what it is. Any ideas? Thanks!

I know I am having harddrive issues (getting a new one when sales go on) but it wasn't coming from that area and it seems to be working fine. Now the sound has stopped? Maybe the problem fixed itself? I also doubt its the fan failing since I bought it two weeks ago.

Seems strange for that to be happening without playing a game. Anyways, it stopped, so hopefully whatever it was sorted itself out.
