I am having major space issues on my C drive. I deleted many unnecessary things and gained over 700 MB, but then within about 10 minutes of doing simple things, not even downloading anything, it went down to around 200 MB. Is my hard drive about to crash or does that sound like another issue?

Welcome to the TH Community, @BamaLicious!

I'd strongly recommend you check this tutorial about how you could free up your HDD space. More specifically, check how you have configured your restore points settings. Another thing you should do is run a tool that would analyze what kind of files are taking up your space.
Posting some screenshots would be really helpful, too. I'd also advise you to go to Disk Management in WIndows and see what is the capacity of your C drive.

Keep me posted!

The doctor doesn't want to guess wo running some tests, I suggest a s.m.a.r.t. monitor.

If that's not it, on your system and we don't know what's in your system, is creating "stuff" I wildly guess you have auto-backup turned on, but only you would know by looking. Depending on your OS, Task Manager will tell you which processe is writing to the HD a lot.
