I just bought the Razer Black Widow Chroma a few days ago, but i am thinking about returning it and getting a Black Widow X Chroma (for no additional cost)

I have a few reasons why:
I really do not like the macro keys, I never use them and it makes typing more uncomfortable because my hand has to streach over them fom the left side. Also I always keep thinking that M5 is ctrl, stuff like that.

Some things are very poor, such as the numpad and caps lights, and how the FN key and spacebar are not backlit.

One of the biggest reasons is the switches. The BW Chroma has Razer Greens made in China by Kailh. The BWX Chroma is Razer Greens made in house by Greetech. The chine ones can become inconsistent, and have a poor reputation overall. The new ones are much better.

Obviously the metal is much better than plastic, but I also dont like how the keys go "in" the keyboard. I can hear the sound of the springs rattleing aswell.

I would appreciate any feedback, any corrections, or more points on why to stay or switch. thank you

Also i have a question about the lighting. I hear mixed opintions on which one has brighter/better lights. Some say the BW chroma has better lights because of the white thing under it. Some say the BWX Chroma is better because the lights are above the key.

thank you so much to anyone that reads and replys

:)

Solution
Id go with the X
Less features but higher quality and looks nicer

I had a macro keyboard with tons of extra features and an lcd screen for years and after awhile i just stopped using all of the extra features and havent used them in years (except for the switch that disables the windows key), most of those features can be done with software though
So if you don't want to use them from the beginning you never will so theres no reason to have them
