I have a toshiba satellite l50-B-1nx and it will only power on when the battery is removes and the ac adapter is plugged in. Once it is on, even if the battery has been inserted after the laptop is turned on, if i remove the ac adapter, the laptop powers off completely. I have tried a new battery but that also wont work. The battery icon shows that there is no battery inserted but it says plugged in and charging but doesnt give a percentage of battery life. The battery LED turns on if the battery is inserted.
