OK, I have a Gigabyte Mobo that will not recognize any PCI-E2 Graphics card so I have gotten a new Mobo... it is still Gigabyte Mobo but a new version than the one that gave up the ghost on running Graphic cards......will I be able to connect the C Drive used at the moment and it will operate as it does now or am I going to have to do clean instal of everything: Op System, Programs, apps, Windows updates,,,the full monty?
Thanks in advance

Garry

Yes, you should be able to boot to your existing drive (unless you had any secure-boot/TPM protection/encryption tying your current mobo to that OS-install/Drive) with no problem.

You may have to install some new drivers to support any features on the new board.

CountMike: thanks: its a bit like that, I could get lucky. OS is retail version. Fingers crossed its not a 'buy new licensing key from Mighty MS"
Bios I will clear and see what the outcome is when rebooting with new hardware.

Thanks for the info...There was not any Secure-boot/TPM protection/encryption used and I do have the Driver Disc for the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P Mobo.....I may have to update the BIOS to the current one I have, find that out when the time comes.
Cheers
