I'm building a PC I have all the components bar my ram cards which are arriving in a week's time. Should I start building and install ram cards once they arrive or just wait till they arrive and start building then.

You can start building now if your impatient but you can't boot your system till the RAM comes. And it will be hard to install inside a case (RAM) once the mobo is installed.

Why wait, you can install RAM any time by just opening the case in popping them in. So start building now.
