Black screen but sound still plays

I bought a new GPU recently and sometimes the screen will just go black and the sounds are still playing, my monitor blinks and says no signal.
It happens at random moments when i watch videos, play some games and even when im not on my pc and come back this happens.
Does somebody know why i get the black screens?

Well, power draw isn't so cut and dry. It doesn't respond to the needs of the PC like it should.

Kinda like a car, if your throttle body is all mucked up, the car will drive just fine, and if you FLOOR it, it usually does just fine too. But if you try and idle, just sit there, it chokes out and dies.

It wants to just sip a little bit of juice, but your PSU quality or specs essentially make that sip nothing, and it sputters and dies.

your PSU isn't strong enough to supply all the juice your GPU demands. When the GPU is starved of power it crashes, but the rest of your PC remains on. Some PCs recover after a few moments, some don't.

Replace your PSU with a high quality 600W and it will clear up your problem.

But why would it turn off when im doing nothing and i can play games 6 hours straight without a problem.
The black screen happens maybe 1 time in 2 days.
