Very low fps in Garry's mod

Ok so my computer has 16gb of ram an intel 4790 (not k) processor and 2 tb or storage and intel 4600 hd graphics and lately garry's mod isn't running well. I can play counter strike global fine and i've even tried playing gmod at 800x600 and I get like 20 fps and before this had happened I got like 100 fps on all servers 1024x768. It is weird and I'm not sure why this is happening I've had this going on for a few weeks and I've lowered my settings put all settings on lowest of low 800x600 and still like 30fps at best. Please help

Before you make a hardware assumption, have you verified the integrity of Garry's Mod yet? Something could have just gotten messed up in the game files causing it not to read well. Uninstalled and reinstalling works too if you want to do that.

I want to make a note, RAM (above 4gb) plays such a small factor in gaming like Garry's Mod
