Mouse Lag on New Desktop with W7 on SSD

Okay so I finally got my new desktop with this build:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($194.88 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI H110M Pro-VD Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($53.98 @ Newegg)

Storage: Sandisk SSD PLUS 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($44.99 @ B&H)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($47.33 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 950 2GB Video Card ($159.99 @ Newegg)

I put W7 Ultimate x64 on the SSD, and there's pci simple communications controller that needs drivers, I don't know if any of these, the W7 being on a 120GB SSD or the drivers missing from the PCI, but the mouse is lagging HORRIBLY!!! Taking minutes to manage to navigate a site while waiting for the mouse to respond like there are frames missing is frustrating as all get out!

My mouse is a M235 Logitech that has served excellently for years with my old pc and now for the new one I had to download all kinds of software I don't need so that the Device Manager will have Logitech HID-Compliant Cordless Mouse instead of HID-Compliant Device, and no improvement on the lagging (except me putting the pointer response in high so that the lag seems less while in truth it isn't).

I've seen no changes in putting on a usb 3.0 or 2.0.

EDIT: Just used an old microsoft usb optical mouse and it works fine so the problem might be that mine is wireless?

This usually means you haven't installed the "Intel Management Engine driver" for your board model from the MSI website.
For Win7 64-bit it's fourth item from top on this page:

Couldn't say if that's why your wireless mouse is misbehaving though, but you still need to install the above regardless.

Regarding mouse name in Device Manager, I use Microsoft wireless mouse which works perfectly, yet it only says "HID-compliant mouse" in Device Manager. I've had several wireless mice over the years and that's all they've ever been named in Device Manager, it has never caused any issues.

I never had a problem with putting drivers in mouse since they were recognised easily, as for the PCI thing I fixed that. I wonder if maybe the problem is in having W7 in SSD or something.

I have to admit that the lag happens when a program is working but what's the point in having 4 cores and 8GB ram if the mouse lags when something is loading?

Repositioning the USB mouse receiver may help, nearer you can get it to the mouse the better., so if it's currently plugged in at the back of the case, try moving it to the front (some cordless mice are worse than others in this respect.

Also fit fresh battery in the mouse body, if you don't have lithium battery try a standard AA battery just for now.

Did all that, nothing changed. I've been moving the mouse to just about every usb port available... and lag. I mean it works fine for a bit and then it has lag episodes.

I really don't think it is the mouse per se, I tried it on my laptop and my old desktop and it worked fine but maybe it's something with the new pc that makes it lag, and that's what's troubling me. If I can't watch a movie and browse the net 'cos the mouse lags, that's were the problem must be right?
