XBOX 360 freezes with a beep sound

i have a xbox 360 and after a while of use it freezes with a beep sound and i have to turn it off from the powerbutton. some times i also get RROD (3 red lights)what could be the problem?i have also realized that when turning the console on during the bootup screen some parts of the screen has squares like in a checkboard.is there a way to fix my console

all the cables are correctly plugged and the power brick light is orange when red rings show up.i dont think anything is wrong with the power brick
