Last week i sold my gpu with the intention of buying a new one, PC was working great, i'd just like to point out. Yesterday i purchased a msi gtx 1070 gaming x 8g and a corsair h80i along with some other stuff like lighting and sleeving for all my cables. Anyway, i hooked up everything making sure all was well, taking my time with cable management ect, only to find out the pc wasn't booting, or rather everything was turning on, fans were spinning, leds were on... but no signal on the monitor? I've built numerous pc's, changed endless amount of hardware, and never ran into a similar issue. I tried removing the purchased extension cables, making sure they weren't faulty, no effect.. Re-seated ram + gpu + cpu, no effect, tried a different pci slot, no effect. I then came to a conclusion that i must have wired something incorrectly, as there was no way hardware was at fault right? nope... ran everything outside of the PC, making sure everything was in their correct areas, still. No avail.
Any help would be appreciated, you guys on the forum never let me down :)

Look at the motherboard, if it has a led setup for the Pci-e, Cpu, memory, and boot devices.

Any fault to do with the four areas mentioned will result in a red led light permanently lit red.

1.For the cpu it will be power related or a lack of it to the cpu socket of the motherboard.

2. Again for the Pcie or slot the 1070 card is fitted to if lit a solid red led light it will be power either because the eight pin 12v E-atx from the Psu is not connected to the motherboard, or the extra six or eight pin 12v Pcie power connector is not connected directly from the Psu to the 1070 graphics card you have fitted.

Or when installing the 1070 card you did not lift the card up over towards the top of the Pc case while tightening the bracket Screw to the case tightly enough Dejan

3. A red led Light lit for the memory slots on the motherboard, will indicate two things Di.
Either depending on how many ram sticks you have, say two, but have four memory slots on the motherboard. they are placed in the wrong set, or postition of memory slots preventing the motherboard from doing a successful memory test.
make sure each memory module is firmly pushed down and level into the dimm memory slot of the motherboard also by pressing on each end with your two thumbs on each memory stick.

From dimm 1A to Dimm 2B in respective order, so consult the motherboard manual for the correct position or two slots that must be used or populated first of all as the manual tells you.

4 For boot devices if there is a red Led light lit it can mean the wrong interface type or mode in the bios of the motherboard is incorrectly set and the motherboard cannot detect and boot able or storage device connected to the motherboard. Or the Sata data cable is not connected or power to the Sata drive is not present Dejan.
