Newly built pc won't display

I just built a pc but it won't display. Everything turns on like it should but when i connect a monitor it just doesn't display Gpu: Geforce GTX 1070
Cpu: Intel i7 6700k
Another quick question should i connect the monitor through the Gpu or the motherboard?

If card installed, connect the monitor to the card.

Connect the monitor to the card. if still does't have display, please check whether your PSU is able to handle your system

Did you plug in the power cable to the graphic card? its usually 6pin cable

usually people forgot to connect the power cable to graphic card because they think what they need to do is just put the card on its slot

fresh build , always connect first to the motherboard!
the graphics card drivers aren't installed so u won't see anything ...
