I'm trying to figure out what is causing random freezing during long gaming sessions. I removed my overclock so everything is stock. I've been running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) and it was crashing on the Memory Stress Test. So is the Memory Stress Test testing the actual RAM or something on the CPU? Here is the quote from the Intel XTU docs:
"The memory test verifies the stability of your memory by carrying out a series of memory-intensive operations targeted at taxing the memory subsystem."
I'm running 32GB, 4 of these Ballistix Sport LT sticks: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820148987
So I've done some additional testing with Intel XTU Memory Stress Test and I've got it to crash with both pair of sticks in both of the slots so I'm not sure what the problem is...
Any ideas on what is causing XTU Memory Stress Test to crash would be much appreciated
