High CPU usage / Temperature in every program?

Hi,

I recently bought a laptop with i7 4810MQ in it. Quad core with hyperthreading 2.8Ghz with 3.8Ghz turbo.

When I open programs such as 3DS MAX studio, CPU gets to 70 degrees. My previous laptop with i5 4200U wasn't getting hot at all. This one is boosting to 3.6-3.8Ghz once I enter any game or any program such as Unity or 3DS MAX Studio. Any idea what causes such high CPU usages?

When I run 3DS MAX or Unity on my normal PC (not laptop) the temperature doesn't rise at all. Maybe 1 or 2 degrees, but I'm probably wrong.

Solution
attempt at your own risk. I have not personally tried any of these options and can offer no support.
underclock if you can. tells each CPU to run at a lower speed and voltage.
Park a couple of the cores. puts cores into deep sleep.
disable hyperthreading in BIOS. will reduce the thread count from 8 to 4.
I do not know which will offer the results you want but this is all I could think of to reduce the heat. any of which can reduce the performance.
