My External Hard Drive isnt showing up on PC???? HELP!!!

Hi there Tomhueb,

Do you have some data stored on the drive? Is thedrive under warranty?

I believe it may be a good idea to go to Disk Management and see how the drive appears over there.
If it has damaged partitions or file system (it would appear as unallocated or RAW), you may need to use some data recovery tools, in order to retrieve the data. Once you've done that, you can test the drive and see what is wrong with it: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

If the drive is not recognized by Disk Management, you can attach the drive with another cable to a different computer. In case the issue persists, then I believe you have a couple of options:
- Contact a data recovery company, in case...
