One very loud GPU fan... One very quiet...

Hi Guys

I have 2 GTX 980's.

One is an EVGA SC (the top, hotter one) It has a closed loop water cooler on it and it never gets over 70C under load.

The other is an EVGA FTW (the bottom, cooler one.) It uses the stock cooler and doesn't go over 40C under load.

The problem is, and I'm using Afterburner to control my GPU fans, the cooler card's fan is painfully loud. Even though it's below 40C. Because it's set by what the top card is doing.

How can I reduce the fan on the bottom card, as it doesn't need to spin this quick.

I have a headache!

Thank you )

No. Whether the "Synchronize settings for similar graphics processors" checkbox is checked or unchecked, both GPU's fans are controlled by the temp of the top card.

i.e right now. I've got fans at 20% at anything up to 50C. The top GPU is currently 83C and the fan is set at 80%. But the bottom GPU is also running at 80% but the temp is only 38C. I want to be able to run the two fans separately. I must be able to!
