Lately non of my games are playing well. I keep suffering sometimes severe stuttering, FPS drops, and overall crappy gaming experience.

My current most intensive game would be either Star Wars "The disappointment" Battlefront, Grand Theft Auto V or Battlefield 4.

I was able to play BF4 without hiccups even with Low to medium settings but now, impossible.

What am I missing here? I still have hundreds of storage space in both devices. According to the program Piriform Speccy my devices temp is fine.

I even have a waiting to be installed CPU cooling device but with my current problems it is on hold until the problem is fixed.

I am not wanting to play everything on hyper-orgasmic settings but currently even Low with most optional things Off the game struggles.

Planetside 2 impossible, Warframe? forget about it all the high-speed stuff gives it seizures, Cities Skyline? nope, turn based strategy games- stuttering too as surprising as it is.

Any help is appreciated. I just don't know what else to do. My cabling is ordered and out of the way, everything is dust free since I cleaned it up when it started acting up, and I even have the side panel open in case it was the temperature. Nothing helps.

Edit 1: CPU temp went down to 50C and lower after I finally got my order of Artic Silver paste and applied it. Gonna keep testing this small fixes to see if something shakes up the pc.

Star Wars Battlefront has finally started to play smoother on lower settings. GTAV is like always being bitchy with problems to start or even update.

In the mean time, you could (if you are comfortable with) remove your current heatsink, clean the thermal paste off with thermal paste remover/cleaning solution or 93% rubbing alcohol and reapply new thermal paste. It usually improves temps if done correctly.

The cooler is still not installed due to my case being too small. I may be looking to buy a bigger one or do lots of cutting to fix it in some way to the case.

So far the temp change seems to have helped which makes me mad that I never tried it before because sites always said less than 80 was fine. bastards
