So I overclocked my 6600k to 4.5ghz at 1.200v and it's running perfectly fine even when I play my games. But when I decided to check if it was stable on Prime95 and I started the test and two workers would stop immediately. So from here I'm absolutely confused. So now I check Hw monitor and I think it shows that all of the cores are working under cpu utilization. So can anyone help me out here please.

Specs:
i5 6600k
cryorig h7 cpu cooler
msi z170a sli plus mobo

If prime95 is stopping workers, I would say your OC isn't fully stable. I'd run multiple stresstests to see the results. However, just because prime95 is failing doesn't necessarily mean you'll run into problems in your everyday usage.
It's exactly that. Stable enough for your games. Not stable enough for Prime95. Most Skylake overclockers aren't checking stability with Prime95 anyway. I see most use ASUS Realbench for the Ks and AIDA64 for the non-Ks. I personally use AIDA64 to check my Skylake since it doesn't overheat things too badly.

1.2v is kind of low for 4.5GHz on that CPU, so you definitely have room to fine tune things. I'm over 1.4v for 4.6GHz. Each CPU is different though so maybe yours doesn't need that much.

Oh I see, but I am still really confused here. So does it matter that its not stable for Prime95?

It matters if you built your computer for the purpose of running Prime95.
