(Sorry for bad english) I've got a gt 220 graphic card from my friend..I connected it to my computer and turn it on.All fans are working but machine wont boot...I turned off machine and touch the vga it was so hot...It's heating while it connected to my pc...I cleaned it and plugged again to my pc but same result...
When i connect my old vga (6800 gs)to my computer it's working fine...I think there are no errors in my pci slot and vga cable.
My friends vga(gt220) has not been used for a long time...There are some rust on the vga too...
Please help me.

Solution
the rust might be the prob as what ever was covering it before provided heat spread meaning it would cool it. Now that this material is off, it has no way of dissipating the heat. This is why it is overheating. The problem why it wont boot is because it might not be compatible with your pc as it is very old
