So i currently have a AMD 8350 CPU with ddr3 ram and I'm curious if the new Nvidia 1070 will be supported? Will the outdated memory and inferior CPU create a bottleneck or other issues with a 1070 gpu? Will I need to upgrade to Intel i7-6300k with ddr4 memory instead?

Solution
That CPU will bottleneck that GPU. Depending what resolution and Hz you are playing at will determine how much. DDR4 v DDR3 makes little different to gaming but your CPU is the problem. You could go i5 6600k but recent reviews have shown there are benefits of i7 6700k in some games, again res and Hz your gaming at dictates how much

It supports it of course. You may run into a bottleneck in some games due to cpu performance, ddr3 memory wont cause any bottleneck, in most games the difference between ddr3 and ddr4 ram at any speed is small or non existent. The severity of the bottleneck depends on the game and the framerates you want to achieve. I can max most games 1080p 60fps with a fx 6350 and gtx 1060 6gb but I dont get much over 60fps in modern AAA titles. GTA V and fallout 4 come to mind as games that i see a cpu bottleneck with, that said I am still able to get close to max settings 60fps smooth gameplay.

Thank you that's exactly what I needed to know. I'm gearing up for destiny 2 on PC.

Well thats just a rumor I believe? And we have absolutely no idea how that game will perform on pc, or specifically how AMD cpus will perfom in that game. I don't remember the last time bungie made a pc port, halo 2? It might be great, who knows. But to ensure you get the best experience in that game you may want to look into upgrading to intel, you certainly don't need an i7 6300k, something like an i5 6600 is just fine for a gamer.
