Laptop Not Detecting GPU

Hey! So I have an ASUS X751LA, and have for several years. It is configured with a dedicated GPU, the NVIDIA 820m. When I first bought this laptop, around two years ago, I used it quite a bit for gaming- and it seemed everything was fine, although I honestly never really used it for anything high-end and never checked to see if it was detecting the GPU. I know, I'm a bad user.

Anyway, after a while of really not playing games on it, I decided to check out Civilization VI, and I discovered that it wasn't detecting my GPU. So I went to check if it was set to switch over... and found that there was no card installed under device manager. There was no NVIDIA control panel. It didn't exist. I tried to download the NVIDIA driver suite, but it says that there is no card to install drivers for. I should mention that in the span of time I wasn't really gaming, I updated to Windows 10.

So, at this point I go to BIOS, where, again, there is no sign of my card. I've looked online at other people who had this problem, and tried a few of their solutions, but mostly they talk about reinstalling the drivers, which, well, does nothing. However, one guy who had the same problem says he fixed it by uninstalling his PCI drivers, since whichever one controlled the GPU was corrupted. I figured I'd try this, and installed one at random and it turns out it was my network card (lol) and I had to dig out an ethernet cord to reinstall it. So I felt dumb, and didn't want to risk uninstalling something more... critical.

ANYWAY, if you have any ideas or experience I would greatly appreciate it. Here are the specs on my system:

ASUS X751LS
i7 4th gen U
8gb ram
NVIDIA 820m
Windows 10 64-bit

Thank you!
