AMD FX6300 and MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard?

Im trying to see if my pc parts are compatible but when i put the amd fx6300 with the msi 970 gaming mobo, it says " some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPU's."

Just wondering if they are compatible

Yes they are, there shouldn't be any problem. That disclaimer is meant for older boards and CPU's that came out "recently", but most motherboards already come with support for all of them. The FX 6300 was one of the first of its series to come out and I have never come across a board that doesn't support it out of the box.
