Hello All,
One of many similar questions I guess.

I have a Asus Z87M-Plus motherboard, currently with a AMD RADEON 7950 GPU

I have been thing about upgrading for a while now and i am thinking either a
Geforce 1060

or
Rx480x

both are PCIe (3.0), so i think my Mobo is compatible?
Can anyone confirm? (advice how i can confirm)

What would you recommend?
Would you recommend a different GPU. (about £250 my price limit)

Cheers

Chebby

PCIE 3.0 GPUs are backwards compatible with PCIE 2.0 motherboards.

Asus Z87M-Plus has PCIE 3.0 https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87MPLUS/specifications/

So nothing to worry about there.

As far as which GPU to go with, I'd say whichever your preference is over Nvidia or AMD as both the GTX 1060 and RX 480 are great GPUs in that price range.
