Youtube VIDEOS are NOT loading/working

Everytime I try to play a youtube video on my COMPUTER, I get a black screen, with the loading sign. After about 30 seconds it sometimes brings up a message on the screen that says: "If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device."

I am using CHROME as my browser.

I have tried clearing my history, cookies, cache, everything possible (on CHROME of course) and nothing has worked. I even tried clearing the youtube site cookies and data, it didn't work also.

I do have VidIq, though I don't think that would make a difference.

Lastly (and this might be important), everytime I try to close the youtube video that I am trying to watch (because it isn't working), Chrome slows down and stops responding. It takes a solid 30-60 seconds for the Youtube video tab to close which also frustrates me.

Please help me!

Also forgot to mention, but the site works perfectly fine, it's just the videos that don't load.

UPDATE Sometimes, the video won't appear, but there is volume and the slider button does move along, so all I see is a black screen and hear the audio.

It likely is some messy issue with HTML5. I run flash and html5 blockers to prevent autoplay and those cause massive issues so if you have any of those add in you may want to disable them and see. There are also addon that force youtube to use flash rather than html5.

I just added this chorme extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/flash%C2%AE-player-for-youtube/lajdkhdcndkniopfefocbgbkofflagpm/related

It fixes the problem, but also puts YouTube back in one of it's earlier versions. Is there any other way to fix this?

For example, you cannot speed or slow down videos, which isn't significant, but is helpful sometimes.

Any other solutions though? Besides different browsers?
