For recording, editing, and streaming: i3 6100 vs. i5 6500?

As the title says, which of these two CPU's would be best for recording, editing, and streaming games? I suppose streaming isn't as important, seeing as I'm planning on a 1060 3GB, and taking advantage of shadowplay since I've heard it lowers stress on CPU's while streaming. Anyways, I know that the i5 is a quad core, but the i3 has hyperthreading, bringing the dual core up to a technical quad core too. The i3 also runs at a faster clock speed. But would the fact that the i3 utilizes logical, not physical, cores have an effect on recording/editing? If the i5 is better, is it worth the extra $85, especially for somebody on a $600 budget? (Brings it from $580 up to $660, already over budget, but if it's worth it, I'll take it) Thanks in advance to anyone who answers!

Solution
Depends entirely on the game. Many will be perfectly smooth with the i3, but AAA games such as Battlefield will not stay above 60fps with anything less than an i7. I'd probably go for the i5 myself.

definitely the i5 if your streaming. I had a i3 and it was holding up alright for gaming, actually it worked surprisingly well. I noticed a dramatic difference in the ability to stream + record + game all at the same time. the i5 is significantly better when combining all of those task. after switching the only thing I wish was that I had done so much sooner.
