Hello,

I have a Seagate 1TB internal HDD and after installing some software over the weekend, the free space was being reported as 0 free space. I have removed ~11 megabytes of data and the free space is being reported as ~11 megabytes free.

What could have caused this? I am guessing that some junk has filled up the HDD.

Is there some software that could find and remove any junk?

Before installing the software over the weekend I had many gigabytes of free space. I have installed some additional content for a game as well as performed a Windows update over the weekend.

Thank you.

Hi there canning_s,

Is this a secondary or a primary drive?

I believe it would be a nice idea to provide a screenshot of Disk Management first, so we make sure all the storage space of the drive is allocated. You can upload the screenshot to an image hosting website and post the link.

Apart from that, you can:
- Run some antivirus/malware scans.
- Use a disk analyzing tool, that can show you what is taking up the storage space.

Here's a tutorial on how to free up some storage space: http://www.howtogeek.com/125923/7-ways-to-free-up-hard-disk-space-on-windows/
