Intel has no such problems with microATX cases and neither does AMD's other platform FM2+. It's just the old power hogging AM3+ platform that has the problem. Most of the regular ATX AM3+ boards are poor too.

Agreed. AMD FX was just too power hungry plain and simple. You had to have a high end mobo with some of the best phase setups to have a legitimately stable machine.
