Hey,

I consider to buy new PSU for my PC due to random reboots (Only when gaming).

If anyone has a better solution instead of replacing my PSU, I'll be glad to hear.
Here is what I tried:

  • * I ran a memtest, and everything is fine.
    * No overheating issue - Idle temps are: 40C ~ for both CPU and GPU, and 70C~ when gaming.
    * Removed any power strip, and plugged in the PC directly to the wall outlet.
    * Downclocked the RAM sticks to stock values (Nothing else is overclocked).
    * Reinstalled graphic drivers.

If replacing the PSU is a good solution to try, I would like to hear about Corsair 650W 80+ Gold RM650x.

My specs:
Intel Core i7 4790
Nvidia GTX 970
2 HDD
1 DVD Drive

Is it good PSU for my specs?

Thanks!

Good to know, thanks.

Do you think I can try something else except of replacing the PSU?

I think it's this one:
FSP 700-80GHNR 700W 120mm Active PFC BRONZE.
Couldn't find something about it on the internet.

I'm not at home now, so I can't check what model it is. Maybe the one I wrote above is the right one.
When I get home I'll get the model.

They dont even have the specificayion of that model on the internet anymore so ....yeah..

Yeah, it's an old model as I said.

What is the chance that my motherboard is the cause of the shutdown?
Is there any way to check it?

Thanks again for your help!
I checked it, and it's the right model. I can take photo of it, if you want.

I'm doing a little voltage check and will look at 12V at heavy load.

Edit: The lowest value after playing was 11.880V.
CPU voltage is either 1.135V or 1.260V
GPU voltage is 0.831V (Lower) and 1.018V (Highest)
