msi x58 platinum will not post!

Steps taken.

Breadboarded down to bare bones. PSU + board + 1 stick of RAM. outcome = nada only the lights on bottom of board no beeps or sound nor movement. :(

PSU bridged and meter tested. outcome = fine :)

So what I'm asking can one of you bang the last nail in the coffin, or is there anything else i can try before i bin and move on.

Maybe test it on a friend's computer, or maybe if possible at your employer's IT department. You can also take it to a local computer shop and request to test both motherboard and CPU. They might charge you for it but at least you will know for sure where the problem is. Or maybe they will test it for free if you buy a replacement at their shop ;-).
