Gtx 1060 6GB giving lower fps than it should

Recently, I upgraded my GPU from a 7850 1GB to a Zotac Gtx 1060 6GB Mini edition.

Full System Specs are:-

CPU: i5 4440
RAM: 8GB DDR3
GPU: Zotac Gtx 1060 6GB Mini
MOTHERBOARD: Intel DB85FL
PSU: Thermaltake 420W

The problem I have been getting is that I get lower fps than I should. I know benchmarks vary according to different specifications but I don't think they should vary this much. I downloaded Battlefield 1 and expected 80 fps avg on Ultra preset @ 1080p but I have been getting 50-70. Today the fps were even worse 30-50. Changing the settings to the lowest preset @ 1080p made the fps go upto 80. Max temperature today was 68°C so I know the card isn't thermal throttling. Previously, I got lower fps on Battlefield 4 too than it should have gotten according to benchmarks. Help is appreciated. Thank you for your time.

V-Sync is off and what part of my rig is bottlenecking the gpu?

Could my power supply be an issue? The exact model is "Thermaltake TR2-470 PP" and the Total Output Power is 420W with the Peak Power being 470W.

PSUs don't bottleneck GPUs. Only CPUs and RAM can bottleneck the GPU. You can't expect to run 80 FPS because you saw someone run it (unless you have the same exact specs).

Alright, so I installed MSI Afterburner and checked my gpu and cpu usage. CPU usage is 98-100% almost always where as the gpu usage varies from 60-80% average. So can I conclude that my cpu is bottlenecking here?

So I used MSI Afterburner to check everything out. First of all, I would like to state that yes I am using Anti Aliasing. Now, according to MSI Afterburner's readings, every CPU Core (with a total of 4 cores) is at 98-100% and the GPU usage is somewhere between 60-80%. So according to the research I did, this concludes to my cpu bottlenecking my gpu, right? Though I must admit, I didn't expect it to. Temperatures are normal for my CPU which is avg 62°C and GPU which is avg 65°C-68°C. Ram usage is about 7200-7300MBs. And lastly, I would like to clarify that when the GPU usage drops, FPS drops but CPU usage remains at or pretty close to 100%.

I have the i7-7490k and a 1060 6gb and i play on high with no AA or any of that BS i disable that ruins fps and i get about 90-120 fps. Just as a reference, you will prob get lower because of your cpu.

Sorry, my first time posting on this forum so accidentally selected best answer. The problem remains unsolved. The ram usage is ok i guess since this game requires this amount of ram at least.

Yes, i'm aware of that but the thing is, i'm still confused that my GPU isn't being used to its fullest potential as far as I know. 60-80% of GPU usage @ 100% CPU usage with FPS dropping as GPU usage drops kind of highlights that it can do better. BTW turning the settings to the lowest preset makes the FPS go upto 80.

That is the reason I am confused lol. I have no exact idea on what part of my rig is causing this to happen. And I'd like to add one more thing which is that I was experiencing lower fps compared to benchmarks in some other games too but they're still playable. But fps drops to 30-45 on Battlefield 1 makes me depressed as I really thought my rig would max out pretty much most games out @ 1080p at 60+ fps.

I have the same problem but a bit different

Specs -
CPU : AMD FX-6300
RAM : 8GB DDR3
GPU : Asus Gtx 1060 3GB
MOTHERBOARD : MSI GAMING 970
PSU : Corsair 550W

My build is around 2 months old and everything was working fine. I played Witcher 3 on med settings and had around 100 fps avg. Suddenly one day my fps dropped to around 20 and wouldn't go up. I put the settings to the lowest and had little to no difference. Thing is that if i restart my pc, i get my original gpu performance back for 15 mins but it again goes down without any kind of errors or stuff. I'm new to pc and can't seem to find much about this online. And this performance drop occurs after 15 mins in all the games.

I've got an i7 6700k, I swapped the 3gb 1060 over, which was running things with no problem, I was so blown away I bought the 6gb version - and I'm getting 30 fps in the Heaven benchmark! Now that's saying something! I thought power supply...
