So I want to buy an i7 6700k and a Z170X motherboard. The motherboard says that supports ddr4 RAM but I have ddr3 ram. Spefically I have 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3. Should I buy new RAM or I will be fine? Thanks for the help.

Early Z170X motherboard boards supported DDR3 and DDR4 that has been mostly fazed out now but you can still find some that do. When you ask "Can this work" you should always list the Motherboard and RAM you intend on using since no one here can say for sure unless they know what you hardware is.

These are Good DDR4 kits provided you need to replace it.

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($78.99 @ NCIX US)

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws 4 Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)...

Quality and performance wise Corsair Vengeance,G.Skill Ripjaws, Kingston HyperX and Crucial Ballistix are all about the same when you compare units of the same Speed. For gaming concerns your not going to notice a huge leap regardless what you pick either even when you compare DDR 3 speeds to DDR 4. Some of us favor brands, I myself have always been a fan of Ripjaw so that part is really up to you as the color and Aesthetics will vary.
