Hello, firstly i would like to clarify I know little about computer, all my friends are geniuses, and all I want to do is play games and not lag. Right so I have an all around decent computer, Gtx 960, AMD FX(tm)-4350 quad core, 16 gigs of ram.... and then there is my hard drive, it is slow af.
Windows gives it a 5.9 rating, it takes 10 minutes after I log into my computer for it to actually start responding. So i was looking to get an SSD to quicken the all the times of launching games and my operating system etc. The Hard drive is 900GB and i only have around 300GB left. I am looking for a SSD with a maximum price of £150, fast and with a decent amount of storage.
Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Simple answer: Samsung 750 Evo 256GB

Complicated answer: Your current hdd is slower than a ssd but it's almost certainly not running optimally. Moving all of your problems to a faster drive doesn't solve them. A clean install of Windows will help if you don't bloat it back up with updates you don't need. Run disk cleanup and empty your browser cache. Do a thorough virus and malware check. Investigate what is taking up space on the drive using a program like (https://windirstat.net/). Only then should you begin moving data onto a ssd using your old drive to back it up. SSD fail suddenly without warning and there is no recovering data like with spinning discs, DEAD.
