PCIe 3.0 16x

Solution
Even though your MoBo has PCI-E x16 1.0 slot, it does support your new GPU that uses PCI-E x16 3.0 interface. All PCI-E x16 3.0 interface GPUs are backward compatible with 2.0 and 1.0 interfaces. And that's also the reason why your HD 5570 that uses PCI-E x16 2.0 interface works in the PCI-E x16 1.0 slot.

For new GPU, i suggest GTX 1050. It's basically an upgrade for GTX 750 Ti with the same cost and TDP but better performance.
Or when you have more money then you can go for GTX 1050 Ti.
