GTX 1060 or RX 480 and also the 3 GB or the 6 GB version of the GTX 1060 or the 4 GB or the 8 GB version of the RX 480

Specs :

CPU : I5-6600K ( € 255,- )
CPU Cooler : be quiet! Pure rock ( € 35,- )
MOBO : ASUS-Z170A ( € 150,- )
RAM : 8 GB HyperX Fury DDR4 ( € 54,- )
SSD : Kingston Technology SSDNow UV400 240 GB ( € 75,- )
Case : Fractal Design Define S - Window ( €85,- )
PSU : Seasonic M12II Series Evo - 750W ( € 100,- )

I know the PSU seems pretty overkill but I chose for this PSU because I want to at least future proof some parts and also to have some upgrade ability.

Here in the Netherlands the pricing for the GPUs I listed :
- GTX 1060 3 GB ( around € 240/250,- )
- GTX 1060 6 GB ( around € 300,- )
- RX 480 4 GB ( around €240/250,- )
- RX 480 8 GB ( around € 300,- )

So I hope you guys ( and girls ofcourse ) can help me with my last choice before I buy this PC also if you got any other recommendations please let me know

- Greetings Superpeanut

Personally Id go 1060 6gb. Equal to the 480 in in DX12 although some seem to quote the 480 is better but then the benches show them trading blows??? In DX11 its a clear winner which is used for the majority of games out. It only looses when Vulkan is used. Also there a few games that can use 3gb at 1080p already and the 6gb version is more powerful as it has some extra cuda cores unlocked. My view 1060 3gb < 480 (4gb or 8gb) < 1060 6gb.

Grab the RX 480 8gb version. The RX 480 and 1060 both have decent performance. Depending on the game, the rx 480 pulls way ahead and in some other games, the 1060 beats it by a few fps. For $100 less than the 1060 4gb, I would grab the 480 8gb for more vram and decent performance while saving $100 that could be used for something else in the system like custom cables or an aftermarket cooled GPU.

Heres the link of where I got my benchmark info with DX12 and Vulkan

So the RX 480 should be fine running on 1080p on 1 monitor but if I want to use multiple I should buy the 8 GB variant ?

Yup 1080p isn't very PCIE demanding to risk bottlenecking with lack of RAM. Its mostly overkill to at 1080p as the fps tends to be higher than you will notice. These cards are very powerful being nearly an equal to the old 980 and 970.

Also i want to add some games i will play with this build :

- Fallout 4
- Arma 3
- DayZ
- Witcher III
- Skyrim

And I also want to get into streaming so idk if that makes a big difference between the two cards.

The 480 4GB or 1060 3GB will handle those no problem. Its more of a CPU issue with streaming. You want either the i5 6600K or i7 6700K.
