*Reposting in this section because it's more relevant*

I built my PC around 5 years ago and want to upgrade some of the parts. My main goal is to play games smoother than I am able to right now.
I mostly play games like H1Z1/Battlefield, which requires a good CPU but I am also looking to upgrade my graphics card.

Recommended Requirements for H1:
Processor: Intel i5 Quad Core or higher / AMD Phenom II X6 or higher
Graphics: nVidia GeForce GTX 560 series or higher / AMD HD 6870 or higher

Recommended Requirements for BF1:
Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB / Graphics card (Nvidia): Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB

My current setup:
Processor: Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.30GHz
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (not exactly sure which one but not high end)
Motherboard (to make sure it fits): https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/B75MA-E33.html#hero-over...
RAM: 8 GB

My ultimate goal is to get smooth FPS around the 100s, preferably 140 because of my monitor. I am willing to spend AROUND $500 and the products need to be from Amazon.

Solution
You can upgrade your CPU on your existing Mobo and also upgrade to a really good buy on NCIX US for a GTX 1060 6 GB's for $175 (plus any taxes).

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-3340 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($182.43 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GAMING X Video Card ($174.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $357.42
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Other options are to get a RX 480 8 GB GPU, if you prefer AMD GPU's, list below:
AMD RX 480 8 GB GPU's

I forgot to mention that this is assuming your PSU is good enough to power the new GPU...

Thanks, I'll look more into this one. And I never did mention but my PSU is a 620W Antec
EDIT: by the way, is the CPU very good for gaming? I can tell the graphics card is but I'm not as familiar with CPU's and can't really find any reviews for this one.

The big issue with the CPU is it is a 4 core CPU and is pretty good. It isn't the most recent incarnation 4 core CPU from Intel, but it should be just fine. It is clocked at 3.1 GHz and should be plenty for 99% of games these days :)

Your 620w Antec probably should be fine. Just make sure you have the proper PCI-e power connectors for your GPU and you should be fine.
