Hello everybody! Ok, so my computer has this really strange behaviour where the first time i power it on after a long time of inactivity ( say over 8 hours) it freezes several times. Usually first time it happens right after the BIOS check, just before windows loading screen appears. Then it happens again just as the loading screen appears and sometimes even during it. It freezes again while logged in windows when apps start . To mention that only a hard reboot solves the freezing. So after i restart it like 5-6 times then no more freezes appear. I'm running windows XP Pro on it genuine, this started to happen recently and no other software or hardware has been added. Any idea what could cause the problem ?

Solution
Maybe a bad memory stick or hdd.
Test your memory sticks with mem test or just test with another memory or hdd to see if the problem is solved.
Hdd may need a complete format or replacement.
