Hi Guys

I am running a new build:

Intel I5 6500 3.2ghz
Antec Kuhler h2o 620(purchased 27 Mar 2013 )
Asus Aura B150 1151
Asus R9 270x DC2T 2gb
2x 4gb Ripjaws
Corsair Carbide Spec 03 Chassis
All Corsair Fans installed(2 front intake, 1 top exhaust and rear exhaust at the water cooler)
Thermal Compund - Phantek PH-NDC

Having trouble with my Antec Kuhler, I have idle temps of around 35c but not stable, fluctuating to around 45-50c without doing anything.

I had Coretemp to shutdown my PC at 65c at first and whilst playing "the long dark" the system shutdown, left it off for a few minutes and started up.

On my old build 1155 with a i5 2500 I could play long dark with no heat issues, starting to get concerned that my cooler may be on its last legs.

Solution
I fixed the issues, firstly removed, repasted and re-seated. Shook the crap out of the radiator and cooler, on start up I could actually feel the water running up the tubes now. Also changed Asus custom fan profiles to run the push and pull fans at full speed. Temps of 23-27c on all cores on Idle.

After 10 mins of Project Cars on 1080p on ultra, highest temps I hit were 43c.

Hello,
It's possible that your cooler is faulty, touch it and look if it's not hot on 1 side and cold on another side, you should also hear and feel if it make some noise and if it vibrate. Another thing you can do is to mount a standard box cooler and see if the problem persist.
Cheers.

My thoughts as well, think my Antec may of had its days..it used to perform quite well..the unit runs silent, not much noise but when I touch the cooler it feels warm all round, not sure if the pump is actually working anymore..Will do further testing when I get home today

I see threads where they say you should shake the radiator and cooler and sometimes this can resolve the issue, also bought new paste (Phantek) as I thought this may be the issue as I was currently using Cooler master IC essentials before...whats weird is when I go into BIOS it starts of on 35c and keeps rising to mid 40's..do you know what would be the life expectancy of the Antec Kuhler 620?
