Originally i had a H55 cooler on my i5 6600k (stock freq's) but i recently changed it to a H100i V2 along with some braided 8 pin and 24 pin connectors to clean the overall build up. Everything seems to be running fine i cant figure out if its the game (Battlefield 1) or if its something i have done.

I was around 100-140 FPS maxed out DX11 on BF1 and now i can drop below 50 and seem to sit at around 80. This is like a 40% drop in FPS since i changed this around in my rig. Considering reversing what i have changed to see if i gain back my performance? Also my cooler is mounted correctly as the CPU idles at about 28C and with load its 49C so i dont think im throttling.

My specs:

I5 6600k
Gigabyte z170 gaming 7
850 evo 500gb
MSI GTX 1080 Aero
16gb Corsair DDR4 3000Mhz
H100i V2 Water cooler

Edit: Been scrolling through this forum and noticed a few others with the same problem as of the 31/10/16 so it might be an issue with the game itself rather than the hardware config. Thought id put this below to give anyone else experiencing the same thing peace of mind.

Could you test another game that you know you have good fps in? But to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if it was the game considering the amount of threads I've seen about fps.

I dont think ive had a drop in FPS in other game, but because ive only been playing BF1 lately i havent really noticed any other frame problems in other games because i dont actually look at it as i know the 1080 can just handle it. Im assuming its just BF1 with some bug.
