I am sorry, the site I looked at had incorrect specs. Here is the specs for the IPIEL-RN2.

I stand corrected, you need DDR2 ram. But the same stands, you need at least 4GB for a correct build.

As you have said, it is not a powerful motherboard in regards to modern PCs, but it is more than enough to play older flight simulator games with a good video card.

Hello Daniel.

Your motherboard and video card are more than enough to play Flight Simulator games, and will easily handle Flight Simulator X. Framerates depend on the monitor and resolution wanted. The IPIEL-RN2 uses [strike]DDR3[/strike] DDR2 (desktop DIMM) memory sticks. You will need at least 4GB to be able to run most games correctly nowadays.

There's no problem, you didn't sound mean at all. ^^

The Q6600, while being lower powered than the Q9635, is a good cpu as well. There would be very little difference in upgrading to the Q9635. I do not suggest buying it unless you want the absolute best.

Yes. Your motherboard is your current limit. A better motherboard and CPU (and RAM) will increase chances of a smoother experience in Flight Simulator games. But as I've said, you are better off trying this motherboard if you already have it and check if it runs fine.
